How TrustBible works
TrustBible exists for one reason: when you bring a hard question to the Bible, you should see the verses themselves, in context, before anyone's summary of them.
No account · 10 free questions daily (base allowance; shared-network and service limits apply) · Crisis (US): 988
One real question, answered
I feel anxious.
The verses, quoted word for word
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7
Reflection · written by AI
Name what is weighing on you, then set it before God with thanks. Peace is described as something that steadies the heart and mind while the circumstances are still unresolved.
Ask this yourselfWhy should I trust this?
- Public-domain source text
- English citations use the King James Version. Simplified Chinese citations use the Chinese Union Version.
- AI writes the reflection, never the verses
- Every verse is quoted word for word from the King James Version or the Chinese Union Version. The reflection around it is written by AI and can be wrong; the verses sit beside it so you can check it.
- A study aid, not a new voice
- TrustBible does not claim divine authority or new revelation. It points back to Scripture and names its limits.
- Crisis questions get immediate help
- Sensitive questions surface crisis resources, including the 988 Lifeline for people in the United States.
How answers are written
These are the instructions the AI receives with every question you ask on the Ask page, in plain words. Pray, daily readings and plans use their own instructions. These are rules the AI is given, not a guarantee that every answer follows them.
- Before it cites a passage, it must look the passage up in the Bible text. The verses you see are inserted by TrustBible from the King James Version or the Chinese Union Version; the AI does not type them.
- It must not stretch a passage to cover what it does not say. When Scripture does not answer a question directly, it is told to say so plainly.
- It must not speak as God or Jesus, claim new revelation, promise healing or provision, or tell you what decision to make.
- It does not give professional counseling, medical, legal or pastoral advice, and it is told to point you to professional help when a concern needs it. Questions that look like a crisis get emergency numbers.
- It is not told to follow the teaching of any one church or tradition, and it is not set up to lay out how different churches answer disputed questions. For those, read the passages in context and ask your church.
- No person reviews an answer before you see it. If an answer looks wrong, email support@trustbible.org with the question and the answer.
Who runs TrustBible
TrustBible is built and run by Jeff Song. He publishes the articles, topic pages and chapter notes on this site. They are written with AI assistance and are not reviewed by a pastor or scholar. An automated check confirms that every verse a note names exists in the King James Version and the Chinese Union Version. On chapter and topic pages, the verse text comes straight from the King James Version and Chinese Union Version files.
Frequently asked questions
What is TrustBible?
TrustBible is an AI-assisted Bible Q&A tool. You ask a faith or life question, receive an AI-written reflection, and see the exact Scripture passages behind the answer in English or Simplified Chinese.
Is TrustBible free?
Yes. The base allowance is 10 free Bible questions a day, subject to shared-network and service limits. No account is needed. Premium is not open yet; when it opens, it is planned to remove the daily limit and add a 7-day Scripture journey for your question.
Do I need an account?
No. TrustBible uses an anonymous browser identity for your free limit and paid access; you can ask your first question without signup.
What happens to what I write?
Your question is sent to our AI provider so it can write the reflection. If you are not signed in, an Ask conversation stays in this browser and our server records only that you asked, unless you share the answer or start a 7-day plan from it. Prayers and journal entries are stored on our server; the privacy policy lists what each feature keeps. Our AI provider has not yet published how long it keeps text or whether it trains on it. Our analytics tools mask questions, answers, prayers and journal text, and we do not sell personal data.
Where do TrustBible's answers come from?
TrustBible combines an AI-written reflection with Scripture from its own copy of the King James Version (English) and the Chinese Union Version (Chinese). The AI writes the reflection, the prayer and the suggested step, never the verses: each passage an answer cites is quoted below it word for word from that Bible text (up to 12 verses per passage), and each reference opens the whole chapter in the built-in reader.
Which Bible translations are supported?
English answers cite the public-domain King James Version (KJV). Simplified Chinese answers cite the public-domain Chinese Union Version (CUV).
Can I ask difficult questions?
Yes, including anxiety, grief, doubt, forgiveness, relationships, purpose, money, and prayer. Crisis-related questions also surface immediate help, including the 988 Lifeline in the United States.
Is TrustBible a replacement for a pastor or church?
No. TrustBible is a personal Bible study aid. It does not replace pastoral guidance, professional counseling, medical care, legal advice, or your local church community.
Does TrustBible claim new revelation?
No. TrustBible points back to Scripture and does not claim divine authority or introduce new revelation.
