3 John 1

The elder writes to his friend Gaius, praying that he prospers and is in good health just as his soul prospers. He has no greater joy than to hear that his children walk in the truth, and he praises Gaius for welcoming travelling believers. Diotrephes, who loves to be first, refuses them and slanders the elder. Imitate what is good, not what is evil; Demetrius has a good report from everyone.
