Hebrews 11

Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. The writer lists men and women who trusted God: Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Moses, Rahab and many more. Many died without receiving the promise, looking ahead to a better country. Without faith it is impossible to please God.
