Nahum 2
Nahum pictures the fall of Nineveh. An attacker comes up against the city; the LORD is restoring the glory of Jacob. Shields are red, chariots race through the streets, the river gates are opened and the palace dissolves. The city is plundered of its silver and gold. Nineveh, once a den of lions that filled its lairs with prey, is now empty, because the LORD of hosts says, I am against you.
