Reflection

Scripture asks where treasure is stored and offers contentment rather than greed. Jesus says in that "where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." Money is never only money. How you spend, save and give shows what you trust.

invites honoring God with the first and best, not the leftovers. Generosity is a practice of trust: it loosens fear's grip by acting as if God, not the balance, is your security.

joins contentment to a promise: "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Contentment is not pretending bills do not matter. It is facing them with the assurance that you are not alone. If debt or loss feels overwhelming, wise counsel and practical help are part of faithful stewardship.

Prayer

Lord, you know what I have and what I lack. Guard my heart from both fear and greed. Teach me to honor you with the first and not the last, and to be generous even when it stretches me. Give me contentment and wisdom with what is in front of me, and remind me that you will never leave me. Amen.
