Isaiah 40
God tells Isaiah to comfort his people: their hard service is over. A voice cries to prepare the way of the LORD. People wither like grass but God's word stands forever. The Creator never grows tired, and those who wait on the LORD will renew their strength and mount up with wings as eagles.
